The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has updated its list of 67 terrorist organizations and unlawful associations under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), which are involved in activities threatening India’s security. The updated list includes 45 groups officially classified as terrorist organizations and 22 as unlawful associations. These groups are involved in militancy, separatism, and violent activities across India.
The move is part of India’s ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and extremism, with designated organizations facing severe legal consequences such as asset freezes and arrests. The MHA continues to update the list to counter evolving threats from both domestic and international extremist groups.
